The BYD Seal Premium Range is widely considered the “sweet spot” in BYD’s electric sedan lineup, offering the best balance of range, performance, and luxury. Positioned between the entry-level Dynamic and the top-tier Performance variants, the Premium Range is specifically engineered for those who prioritize long-distance touring and refined comfort.

Performance and Powertrain

Unlike the base model, the Premium Range variant is equipped with a significantly larger 82.56 kWh Blade Battery. This provides a substantial boost in range, with a certified NEDC range of 650 km on a single charge. It remains a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) setup but features a more potent motor that produces 308.43 bhp and 360 Nm of torque. This allows the sedan to sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds, offering a much more spirited driving experience than the base Dynamic’s 7.5 seconds.

Charging Efficiency

The Premium Range variant benefits from enhanced charging capabilities. While standard AC charging (7kW) takes about 12–16 hours for a full charge, the car supports high-speed 150kW DC fast charging. This can juice the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 37 to 45 minutes, making it highly viable for highway travel. It also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing the car to act as a massive power bank to run external electrical appliances.

Visually, the Premium variant is distinguished by its 19-inch precision blade alloy wheels (upgraded from the 18-inch wheels on the Dynamic). Inside, the cabin is a blend of high-tech minimalism and luxury. It features:

One exclusive feature in this trim over the base model is the Heads-Up Display (HUD), which projects vital driving information directly onto the windshield to minimize driver distraction.
