Originally founded in the UK in 1924 as Morris Garages, the brand has always been known for its sporting history. In India, the story evolved significantly in 2024 with the formation of JSW MG Motor India. This historic joint venture brought the brand under majority Indian ownership, combining the technological prowess of SAIC Motor with the deep industrial roots of the JSW Group to create an automotive giant focused on the future.

The company operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, which has seen massive expansion to support the brand's aggressive growth.
