About Kia
Movement That Inspires
Founded in 1944, Kia is Korea's oldest manufacturer of motor vehicles. In India, the brand has rewritten the rules of the automobile industry since its entry in 2019. Guided by the brand slogan
"Movement that Inspires," Kia focuses on creating spaces that inspire consumers and free up time for the activities they enjoy most. The brand’s "Opposites United" design philosophy is evident across its entire range, blending nature's contrasts with high-tech modernity.
The Anantapur Capability
Kia’s heartbeat in India is its world-class manufacturing facility in
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Spread across 536 acres, this plant is a marvel of automation and sustainability, capable of producing over 300,000 vehicles annually. It serves as a critical export hub, sending "Made in India" Kia cars to over 100 countries, proving that Indian manufacturing quality meets the highest global standards.
The 2026 Product Offensive
Kia India’s portfolio is dynamic, tech-heavy, and diverse, catering to modern Indian families and enthusiasts alike:
- Seltos 2.0: The SUV that started it all. The new-generation Seltos (launched Jan 2026) redefines the segment with a bolder "Digital Tiger Face," Level 2 ADAS, and a panoramic curved display.
- Syros: A "New Species" of SUV. This recently launched vehicle breaks traditional segment norms with its boxy, lounge-like design, offering the practicality of an MPV with the stance of an SUV.
- Sonet: The compact SUV that punches above its weight, offering premium features like ventilated seats and Bose audio to the mass market.
- Carens & Carens Clavis: A recreational vehicle (RV) range that blends the sophistication of a luxury car with the practicality of a people mover, now expanded with the "Clavis" line.
Leadership in Electrification
Kia is aggressively driving India’s transition to green mobility. Its EV lineup is spearheaded by the award-winning
EV6 and the flagship
EV9 (World Car of the Year), which offers a dedicated three-row electric luxury experience. The brand is also democratizing EVs with mass-market electric models produced locally at Anantapur.
Connected & Future-Ready
Kia was the first to normalize "Connected Cars" in India with
Kia Connect. Today, the brand continues to lead with features like "My Convenience" service packages, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a phygital ownership experience that blends digital ease with physical reassurance across its 500+ touchpoints nationwide.
